WCP at LabelExpo 2008

LabelExpo Americas 2008 served as an opportunity for Wausau Coated Products to reaffirm their commitment to the specialty and custom pressure sensitive markets. At the show, Wausau Coated unveiled a new line of FSC^® certified and post consumer recycled pressure sensitive products to compliment a growing line of green pressure sensitive products. These products feature FSC certified face and liner grades varying in post consumer content of 10-100%.

In addition to green products, the Wausau Coated booth also featured samples of Versaply, a cost effective film alternative used in durable or moist labeling environments and applications such as shelf marketing and drum labeling. A product designed and engineered in house, Versaply features excellent resistance to moisture, laser compatibility, and great overall printability in one cost effective package.

Other highlights from the show included additions to the Wausau Coated digital product line, and a stronger alliance with HP Indigo. Wausau Coated proudly supplied HP with several materials which were successfully run on the new WS6000 digital printing press throughout the trade show. Corporate Manager of Strategic Business Development Cheryl Bahr added “Wausau Coated is extremely excited about the future of the WS6000, and will continue to lead in the development new pressure sensitive substrates for for all Indigo presses.”
