Production Lab Technician

September 4, 2020

The Production Lab Technician will ensure lab testing is performed with efficiency and accuracy while following standard testing procedures.  Ensure pressure sensitive product being manufactured and converted meets all specifications for that product and are free of known defects.

Work Schedule:  7:00am to 7:00pm swing shift 

Essential  Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all company policies.
  2. Follow testing directions and perform required lab testing procedures as noted for each specific product utilizing appropriate LT (Lab Test) method.
  3.  Assist in the maintenance of a current and accurate Lab Testing Manual.
  4. Perform routine and necessary lab testing equipment calibration.
  5. Place any non-conforming product on HOLD and complete required additional follow-up testing.
  6. Retrieve coater retains and assist in filing and keeping retain room neat and organized.
  7. Complete final inspection and release testing on all out-going product in timely manner. Filing of lab testing data by manufacturing lot.
  8.  Assist other Lab Technicians as needed, including front lab.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by Lab Supervisor or Quality Control Manager


Quality Control Assistant

The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for assisting the QC Manager with creation, execution and continuous improvement of quality system and procedures. Attend Ok corral meetings, inventory review meetings, enter vendor claims, and take care of customer product which is returned to WCP. 

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 7:00am- 3:00 pm. Overtime as business demands and staffing needs require.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow all Company safety policies and safety procedures
  • Ensure a safe and clean work area
  • Handle supplier claims/returns. Entry and follow-up of Return Purchase Orders with vendors
  • Follow through on customer returns in regard to inspection and relabeling
  • Facilitate internal corrective actions
  • Assist in special analytical testing as required
  • Ok corral documentation and resolution of QC defects via inspection
  • Participate in inventory review meetings
  • Assist in sample request preparation & shipment
  • Assist other QC Assistants and Lab Techs for vacation relief and daily tasks as necessary


Winder Helper

The Helper is responsible to keep accurate inventories of raw materials brought to the equipment (cycle count) and test materials to ensure customer specifications are met.
